(RTTNews) - The terms of trade in New Zealand fell a seasonally adjusted 0.6 percent on quarter in the third quarter of 2023, Statistics New Zealand said on Monday - after adding a downwardly revised 0.3 percent in the three months prior (originally 0.4 percent).

Export prices for goods fell 1.4 percent after slipping 0.6 percent in the second quarter, while import prices sank 0.8 percent after dropping 1.0 percent in Q2.

Export volumes for goods fell 5.5 percent and import volumes fell 3.0 percent, while export values for goods fell 6.0 percent and import values fell 4.3 percent.

The services terms of trade fell 0.9 percent. Services export prices rose 1.3 percent, while import prices rose 2.1 percent.
