(RTTNews) - Overall consumer prices in South Korea were down a seasonally adjusted 0.6 percent on month in November, Statistics Korea said on Tuesday.

That missed forecasts for a decline of 0.2 percent after adding 0.3 percent in October.

On a yearly basis, inflation was up 3.3 percent - shy of expectations for an increase of 3.7 percent and down from 3.8 percent in the previous month. Food prices fueled that gain, climbing an annual 12.7 percent.

Core consumer prices were up 3.0 percent on year.
