U.S. Dollar Rises Against Majors

(RTTNews) - The U.S. dollar strengthened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Friday.

The U.S. dollar rose to a 3-day high of 1.0884 against the euro and a 1-week high of 1.2927 against the pound, from yesterday's closing quotes of 1.0896 and 1.2941, respectively.

Against the yen and the Swiss franc, the greenback advanced to 2-day highs of 157.88 and 0.8897 from Thursday's closing quotes of 157.37 and 0.8875, respectively.

The greenback edged up to 1.3715 against the Canadian dollar, from yesterday's closing value of 1.3704.

If the greenback extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.07 against the euro, 1.28 against the pound, 162.00 against the yen, 0.92 against the franc and 1.38 against the loonie.
